Reading Notes Extra reading Krishna


Epified India part B Krishna. We come back to see Krishna sharing food off his plate with regular people and Brahma found this interesting. Brahma then tests Krishna by kidnapping his friends, but Krishna is able to create copies of these children that no one could tell a difference. Brahma noticed and acknowledged Krishna’s divinity. Now Krishna is out with friends and his brother mentions he wants to be strong enough to punch and kill the biggest and most violent bull. Krishna warns his brother that is wrong to kill the bull. After a month Krishna was able to get close to the bull and eventually was able to leap on and ride the bull. No one else in the village had ever even attempted to do this. He showed that kindness is the ultimate strength. Now Krishna found his love and they could not spend time apart from each other. His parent would not allow him to marry her though because he was meant for greater things, that he is the deliverer. He even found out the truth about his birth. This made him sad when he found out some of the truths about his life. Now Krishna has grown up and is a young man who had survived every attack on his life. We now get to the party the wicked king had thrown in order to have one last attempt to kill Krishna. Krishna was able to find this out and was prepared for it. He knew that this was his destiny.

Pebble Beach, My Favorite Place

Out of all the places I have been ver fortunate to go, most of my favorites include golf courses since the reason I get to travel is to play tournaments for the University and on my own during the summer. The  place that stand out above the rest for me is Pebble Beach which is located on the stunning Monterey Peninsula in California. Every year we start our season off at Pebble Beach during the second week of classes and this course is beautiful being nestled along the coast of the Pacific ocean and this tournament symbolizes the beginning of a new year with goals and expectations higher than our previous season. The amount of history has taken place on this course throughout the years is astonishing. Being a course that is in the lineup for US Opens, Champions such as, Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, Tom Kite and Tiger Woods have won on this course competing at golf's highest stage. Week 8 Comments and Feedback

I feel like I have been receiving great comments from my classmates about my work. Granted I do not check them very much, when ever I do they seem to be useful and constructive. I think that my comments on the other students' posts have been good, mainly it has been pointing out what they have done well with a little bit of what I think could have made it better. With the blog comments, I am getting to know the other students a little bit, we only get to know them through what they choose to share. I think that my introduction post gives people a good insight to me, but it isn't much. For me to make my comments better, I would need to offer more insight into what could make help make their writing better so the feedback would be more informative. Reading Notes, Mahabharata: Karmic Revolution Part B

  Picking back up with the topic of Karma that has been going on in the videos. Kunti is introduced and in this she is talking with the powerful sage who everyone in the village is shown to fear. For keeping him company and speaking her mind, she is given a mantra by the sage who tells her that it ca be used to summon a god at any time. Later that day, she speaks the mantra to see if it is true and the sun god shows up in full form. After being embraced by the god and whenever he left, Kunti was left with a child in her arms that had gold earrings and was in full armor. It was easy for her to tell that this child was destined for greatness. Since Kunti was unmarried she could not afford to keep the child to took it to the bank of the river and prayed for the sun god to watch over him and placed her child into a basket.
