Week 15 Reading Notes, 20 Jakata Tales B

Starting off with the second half of the reading we are introduced with the story of the two pigs. An older lady walking across a village road comes upon two little pigs and tells them to get in to her basket since their mother is not around. SO she put them in her basket along with the cotton she had just bought from the fields. Years passed and these pigs were still living with the woman and were being raised like her own kids. One day though a feast was help once all of the food was gone some men went to the woman wanting to buy the pigs from her so that they could have more food to consume. She would not sell them and then the men made her get drunk, but she still refused to sell the pigs. The pigs did something miraculous that allowed them to be able to live in the palace with the king.

Now is the story of the patient buffalo. There as a giant buffalo sleeping underneath a tree, a monkey is looking at him knowing that neither is scare of the other one. The monkey being a jerk tried to make the buffalo angry by pulling a lot of tricks. By not reacting the buffalo was approached by a fairy applauding him for being patient and kind to the monkey even though he could easily destroy the monkey. He was given a charm by the fairy that would allow him to never suffer again for the rest of his life.
